In many ways, choosing a blog format for my capstone project reflects my efforts to bring student voice to the forefront of education and teacher practice. A blog is a certainly a way to see the development of one’s ideas and to perhaps, bring a few others on board with you.
Perhaps I am a ‘lone nut’ in my vision of effectively implementing student voice into the everyday pedagogical practice of teachers but alas, I am certain I am not.
This capstone journey begins with one simple question: What is the role of student voice in multiliteracies pedagogy and teacher practice?
Though this question may shift slightly, the goal remains the same: how can student voice be effectively implemented into the classroom and through what pedagogical approach?
My passions lie in maximizing the knowledge and strengths of students from the offset of their learning journey to apply said strengths of demonstrating learning via the required curriculum expectations.
Learning is a journey and should be made out to be fun and adventurous; all it takes is a little bit of enthusiasm.
